Since 2008, I've been collaborating with
composer/pedal steel man Joel Pickard on an original
score for a new dance work by choreographer Emily
Johnson entitled The Thank-you
Bar. It premiered in October 2009 at
OutNorth Alaska, in Anchorage, followed by shows at Bunnell
St Gallery in Homer, AK. Joel and I are touring nationally with the piece
and performing our score live. Our next TYB shows will be part of the
TBA Festival in Portland, Oregon, Sept 15-19, presented
by PICA. Joel
and I are l also performing a series of companion concerts as
BLACKFISH - improvised duet installations
- in each city we tour the Thank-you Bar. Our first concert took place
in Tallahassee in February 2009, and we've released it as our first CD:
BLACKFISH 1: Tallahassee
released in Sept 2009 on Firetrunk
Records. In Tulsa, OK, in March 2010 we released our second CD, BLACKFISH
2: Homer, recorded during our Alaska premiere tour last fall.
BLACKFISH 3: Tulsa arrives in time for our Fall 2010 tours to Portland,
Chicago, and Minneapolis.
Vicious Vicious is on a long hiatus. stay tuned....
Unguided
has a new batch of songs, recorded partly with Rich Mattson. Hmmm...baby
hiatus!

The Capture!
dance film series continues with another CAPTURE!RAMA
dance film mashup scheduled for Spring 2010 at the
Bryant Lake Bowl Theatre. I co-host and co-curate
Capture! with choreographer Emily Johnson from Catalyst
dance. "CAPTURE!RAMA" is a new live performance/film hybrid
format that we debuted in May 2007 to rave reviews. Five groups perform
and shoot five short dance films on and around the BLBT stage, using one
camera, one tape, and only in-camera edits. after all five films have
been shot, we rewind the tape and view them all on the big screen, followed
by panel discussion and Q & A. It is a good time. Interested participants
can contact us through this site. All-Ages. 7:30pm doors 8pm show.

Beast Studio in Minneapolis, and feature several friends
